Tabula Rasa players, contribute to our TR Wiki! From EnterWiki MetaElliott Franklin CableYah, this is me... Crazy EnterWiki admin person. Also known as Peerless, for reasons unknown. This a page about me, as a person in general - For information about me pertaining to the wikis instead of general stuff, go to My Userpage (not sure why I capitalized that). If you want to know more about my life, go see my blog (linked at the bottom of this page, the See Also section) - I update it just a tad more often, because I wrote this bio a while back and haven't updated it with the previous developments in my life.
BiographyI live in Anchorage, Alaska - a very cold place. As I am writing this, it's a little under 2°F outside, and i may be getting out of school for a snowday. Woot! Anyway, I'm an only child at 16 yrs old. I'm a senior in highschool (yes, a grade ahead), and am pretty interested in math and science, specifically nanotechnology and the applications of neural networking in that particular field. I'm applying to Rensselaer at this point, and very much hoping to get in - it would be awesome to study my passion. I'm hoping for an acceptance into their Mind & Machine program, which is almost exactly what I want to work on. I love dogs, lots of dogs, all dogs. I have two shetland sheepdogs, or shelties (that pwnz0r j00, incase you were wondering) whose names are Tucker and Josh. I love music - play the piano, arrange music on my laptop with Logic (and on my G5 when I get a chance). My piano is a beautiful 9 foot Steinway concert grand, number 71 out of only 100 made by Steinway himself by hand. We got it really cheap, as it had been retired from touring and they needed to get rid of it in alaska so they didn't have to pay shipping costs all the way back to the lower 48 - and trust me, shipping costs for a concert grand piano are no small matter (literally nor figuratively!). As you probably know, one prominent passion in my life is computers. Specifically, their applications, the computers themselves don't interest me that much - well, that wouldn't exactly be true - I love macs. I use a Powermac G5 dual processor 2.5 GHz (IBM processor, of course - down with the mactels!) with 8 GBs of RAM and a beautiful 30" Apple Cinema Display. Now, anybody who couldn't appreciate the beauty of this machine needs to, well, I dunno what they need to do, but they need to do something. Anyway, as I said, unless it's a Powermac G5, I am not particularly interested in the machine itself. It is there to achieve ends, and those ends are what I am interested in - be it keeping this network online or getting the latest LifeDVD edited to perfection and off the line to the customer, I love what I do. Another thing I love - wikis. The entire wiki concept just screams power and grace and freedom to me - no more of those stuffy web administrators saying 'this is what your web experience will be like' - you get to make the internet yourself. No need to know HTML or CSS or Javascript or all that jazz (although the former two certainly help make your wikiedits look nicer) - you can just go help contribute. You! Or, for that matter, anybody! To me this just seems revolutionary, something new and exciting. Not to mention cool and fun (-: Well, something that I can't believe that I've failed to mention thus far is the fact that I am a hardcore christian. I love the lord my God, and am willing to do anything he asks me to - I, however, find it hard to accept those who bash games as tools of the devil as fellow brothers in christ - I have seen the real tools of the devil at work, and I know for a fact that Dungeons and Dragons or World of Warcraft is not a tool of the devil anymore than this cheesegrater. I don't know why I have a cheesegrater here, that's a little strange - anyway, sorry for the random rant, as you can probably tell, that is a bit of a sore spot for me. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you wish to argue any of that with me, I am used to 'faith flames' and can easily stand my ground if necessary. I like reading a lot. I know almost everything I do from reading - my brain is so chock full of useful bits of information, I'm sure it will explode before I'm 20. I seriously wouldn't be surprised - actually, I'd be dead. Anyway, I like fiction of all kinds, science fiction, fantasy, satire, romance, pretty much anything. I also love the classics (was recently surprised when Xevo didn't know what a yorick was slang for... I feel old already (-: ) or pretty much anything that is an interesting read. P.S. This bio is quite out of date, so it might be worth your time to give me a ring and catch up a bit if you're bored (-: About MeOther than my (rather out of date) biography above, there's some random info I felt like putting here: MusicLast.FM totally rules.
