[edit] Domain status?

www.dndwiki.net appears to be down heading instead to a domain page. -- Pirho420 12:44, January 20, 2006 (PST)

Just tested .com, .net, .org, and .ws for all three sites (enterwiki, dndwiki, and ddowiki) all seem to redirect correctly for me. Still having a problem?
Yeah I can get to here and do ddowiki.net but not to the dndwiki.net I get to a page that gives this error

That is... strange. Never had anything like that before - mind taking a screenshot and uploading it here? Thanks! -- [:: ℑilver§ℑide ::] 14:22, January 20, 2006 (PST)
Ok I uploaded the screenie. I dont know how to link images that are unpoaded but the image is here http://en.enterwiki.ws/Image:Error.png#filehistory -- Pirho420 15:05, January 20, 2006 (PST)
Uhh it has fixed itself I wonder what was wrong? -- Pirho420 15:59, January 20, 2006 (PST)
Interesting - and you link and image like this: that's it! Like Category: tags, Image: namespace tags act funny, in that they do something (substitute a picture in this case) instead of linking (if you actually wanted to link to the image page, you'd use :Image:Pihro domain error.png with a colon before the namespace, see?) so, this would work: -- [:: ℑilver§ℑide ::] 18:01, January 20, 2006 (PST)

[edit] Vandalism

HEy Silverside someone vandalized the spell page over on ddo wiki and they also did some muddling about with your signature. Well they made your sig. Are you doing the vandalism as a joke or do many people have access to your computer with the IP of 24.237.6.216? They also did some work on DDO wiki other than spells http://en.ddowiki.ws/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=24.237.6.216. They are also the IP responsible for putting up Ben's views. Is this going to turn into a fundamentalist battleground of them vs normal D&D players? I dont have the energy to go around and erase all of their edits. -- koolkat 21:14, January 24, 2006 (PST)

Ah so sorry - that was me, on the DDO wiki, the edit was some fake vandalism I put up to train one of our new admins in dealing with vandalism (the rollback admin feature and everything) and must have forgot to roll it back myself - and the Ben's Views thing, well, read it's talk page! -- [:: ℑilver§ℑide ::] 21:21, January 24, 2006 (PST)
Ok makes sense now. I was more concerned that someone was using your computer without your permission. I fixed the error, but didnt use the admin rollback thing. I just edited an older version copied and pasted the entire thing. Essentially a rollback, but not quite. It does make me very uneasy though that you are a "true christian". Ive had so many bad happenings with them in the past that now I just tend to avoid them as a group alltogether. I'm sure I probably make you uneasy as well knowing that I am a typical "godless scientist" that you have learned about in your religious indoctrination. Please warn me before you do any vandalism again. -- koolkat 06:46, January 25, 2006 (PST)
It's not about scientists versus christians, and it's not indoctrination. I believe Christ saved me, when I was worth absolutely nothing. Anyway, I am a scientist myself, so don't assume I look down on them... although you do appear to look down on us, which puts me at something of a disadvantage. Don't worry, I am used to it. Anyway, I don't know if it was you or who, but somebody attempted to ban my school IP - never, ever execute a ban without asking me first. Anyway, for now, ban privs. rescinded for all but me and xevo, although if I figure out who did this, they're getting permafrosted. I had to go directly edit the ipblock table, thus putting the entire thing one off of correct numbering. Bah. I'm pretty pissed... Anyway, to you, pirho420, rollbacking is even easier than that even for you non-admins - simply click the version in history you want to revert to, edit it, and just save with a edit summary of something like 'rv.' - hope that helps. -- [:: ℑilver§ℑide ::] 09:38, January 25, 2006 (PST)
I dont even know how to ban so it isnt me. If I did though I would have banned the IP that did the vandalism, because they vandalized the wiki. That to me is a good ban. You did the vandalism, but not under your login so it looked like an anon user did it. I wouldnt be pissed just explain more what you are doing, or be sure to do stuff under your login. You are a scientist? What is your area of expertise? I thought you were like 15 or so. Didnt your parents burn you books after your school convinced them to do it? On the rollback thing I think that is exactly what I did but I removed it with the edit summary of removed vandalism damn fundies. I know tone doesnt translate in words as well as it does in speech, but I dont look down on you as a person, but merely see you in the same vein as a tribal shaman spreading oxen blood to ensure a good harvest. Would you look down on someone like that, or merely think it is quaint. I really could care less as long as I know the reason behind most things. Above all, be sure to provide more communication if you are going to undergo what I saw as an attack on the Wiki. Also if no one is supposed to execute a ban without asking you first, then just keep the ban privs to yourself and xevo. That simplifies everything without pissing off the person who thought they were doing a justified ban. -- koolkat 11:57, January 25, 2006 (PST)
Sigh. Whatever you feel like thinking, I don't care. I am not in the mood to butt heads with a anti-religious nutter (-: Anyway, yes, 16 (not 15 thanks) year old girl in anchorage, alaska obsessed with nanotech - you'd have to know quite a bit more about my methodology to understand how, what, and why... Ask xevo - he understands me pretty well after working on this with me (-: -- [:: ℑilver§ℑide ::] 12:26, January 25, 2006 (PST)
Nanotech Nice I'm working in organic chemistry (almost done my PhD been at it 6.5 years now) and I make molecular sized devices, tweezers to be specific. Do you want to work more in a bottom up or a top down area? BTW why do you do your smiley's backwards are you left handed? -- koolkat 13:05, January 25, 2006 (PST)
